It’s important to make a recognition of the students birthdays within the classroom. This helps to make the child feel special that they are recognized on their big day. It really doesn’t matter how one decorates to display a child’s birthday, just that they display the name and date clear enough for the entire classroom to see. - Organization is key
One way to make the classroom feel more open and friendly is to do away with the old fashioned cardboard boxes or bags stuffed together. Try clear plastic boxes instead. This helps to provide a more relaxing atmosphere for the children and creates a more neater appearance all around. - Color is important
Are your walls bleak and lacking in color? Children often feel locked or closed in, in places that are lacking in color. Try decorating your walls with colorful bulletin boards and various other pictures.
Another idea to try is clothes lines around the room to display the children’s artwork that they make in class.

While blue and green can help to provide a comforting feeling. Dark colors however take out the sun light in a room and make some kids feel a bit drowsy or tired.
